My System Specs

Default Enabling Physx ATi + nVidia

So i bought a GT430 today for physx for my 5970

how do i get everything going ? just install the GT 430, drivers and physx and voila ?

Don't know how to enable it, but I also don't think a 430 is anywhere near powerful enough to run physx. Someone with more experience can guide you more I am sure.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Did a quick look around and I guess it should suffice for dedicated physx. Let us know how it works out.

You will need to designate the GT 430 as the PhysX device in NVIDIA's control panel as well.

I would have upgraded to a GT 440 but the 430 should be enough for most PhysX stuff.

As for compatibility with the AMD card, I have no idea how that works to be honest..

memory fails me, at one point you had to used modded drivers, but lately nvidia reverted back its policy of both co's cards working in the same system?

i dunno my pc takes forever to boot and is uber slow in windows witrh the GT430 installed


so hwo can i get it to work properly

i think i found a problem why it wasnt working...

manifacture defect card :P

doesnt work properly on its own take 10min itself to boot so its the card the problem.. gonna trade it tomorrow for a another one

the zotac on itself was slow in windows and the 5970 alone was fine and both were 6x slower... :P

with both install took over and hour to install the drivers
