Yeah thats brutal boys.....paid $525 each for all 3 Evga GTX 580 SC's ....guess thats what you get for living on the bottom of the globe ;) ......crazy / upside-down prices .... perhaps you can pick one up cheaper off a "Dole earning" Kangaroo Crack Head ;) ...sorry, no offense!!

Well, you know, it's not all that bad. See, at ~ $1,152 CAD that includes tax. Here in Canada, sure we can get a GTX590 for $799, but after tax that's $902.

Yes it still sucks to be you, but not quite as hard as you might have thought!

It's more expensive in Oz because it needs anti gravity compensation to avoid falling off the earth plus it requires added security against hideous drop bear attacks.

Possibly the market is much bigger in North America so they can price it lower. :3

Was thinking the Dollar exchange may be the culprit, BUT looks as though the CDN $ is almost at par with the Aus $.(both worth almost $1.04 USD).......the NZD $ is way off though with $1CDN worth about $1.36 NZD.....I'm sure you would find that just about any products with Corporate Headquarters in NA will result in inflated prices in Oz......also supply / demand for the population.
