Innovative award? It's just a dual GPU that is slower than sli?? I see no real innovation here.
Very disapointed of the card since 570 and 6950 sli/CF can beat it. No thx.

Don't know whether the critics have noticed, but at the minimum framerate departmentm, it is in fact SUPERB for a dual GPU, beating even the CF & SLI solutions...

I'm wondering if maybe driver immaturity is playing a role in these low scores.

But mind you a lot of the scores that do dominate the 590 are those in CF or SLI configurations or the behemoth 6990 card.

Yeah I have to agree there.
Plus for a change power consumption is well in check for this beast of a card.
Which is nice, as well as having great thermals. And it can fit in all my current cases at home, another plus in my books.

If only it didn't cost an arm and leg.

WOW! Compared to the 6990, I'm super impressed! The price is $700 when I was expecting $800 (just shows you how huge the markup is on those 580s). Everything about it when compared to the 6990 is great in my books. It's sad they couldn't make a card that can 100% claim to be faster, but it's pretty much a tie imo and I'm fine with paying a small premium for nvidia ecosystem and technologies.

I look at min fps too and it looks ok to me, temps and noise look ok also. $700 price tag doesn't look good to me but I'm sure the masses will pay it.

WOW!!! what a disappointment. I think they could have done so much better for the same price I can get 570 SLI, OC the hell out of them and come out way ahead. I would have thought at the very least it would have blown the 6990 out of the water but they I guess are on bad drugs or are they just hoping for the Nvidiots to be on the same bad drugs they are on but I doubt that. I think they should fire a few people for even thinking up such a poor and disappointing card.

Let me know how that works out on an AMD board with your 570's.

The same argument can be used for "why bother with a 6990".

Slightly disappointed in this card TBH. I think Nvidia could have gone along AMD's route to boost the cards TDP to 450w - then we may have had a clear "winner" in the performance crown.
Not sure how well that will work. According to W1zzard (and apparently some other people he's talked to) the cards apparently break if you push them too hard. The power circuitry doesn't seem to be up to the task of handling higher power requirements.

I'll probably pick one up to replace my dieing 280's. Mainly because I run three lcd's and would prefer a one card solution. Plus as someone who folds that's some sweet PPD.

Before the trolls jump all over me; I've had bad experience with ATI/AMD products so I no longer give them my (mostly) hard earned money.
