This a beast of a card and adding sufficient cooling goes a long way to making the whole experience truly rewarding.
Hey, I just checked my temps out of cod4 and its a max of 59 C still, just to double check... What colour is the pc board on your card? I was reading in a different thread that there may be different coolers? The pc board on my card is black and the fan is at least 3/4 the width of the cooler. It looks much larger than some of the 8800gt fans out there. Temps are 45-47 idle and 55-59 loaded .

Sorry- just read back, you have a BFG, disregard, it's been a long night...

I'm using 169.21, the official ones. I don't bench my card, I go by game performance because that's why I bought the card. This card is amazing gaming wise, awesome investment. In lightsmark 2007, I get about 145fps but that's a limit of my cpu more than anything else.

Whoever says SLI is not a good investment read this.... Last night I upgraded the video card drivers, then I put in Crysis to test it. My previous settings for game play was everything on max. When I played the game it would hardly play the opening (all jerky and slow and crappy). I had forgotten to enable SLI. What a difference! I could never run a single 8800GT.

SLI performance was improved in the 1.1 patch for Crysis. But looking at my post here which links to this Tech Spot review on Crysis performance (SLI vs Single), you'll only see about 5 FPS improvement over a single 8800GT on DX9 at 1680x1050 and 10 FPS on DX10. Personally, I'm not sure if 5-10 FPS says good value to me when doubling the cost of your gfx hardware? But that's just me.
