Yikes. $750 big ones. naw. I rather buy a 2600K and ASUS mobo and still have money left. or just buy 2 6950 and have money left. That's Crack price for a 6990.

Yes, dumb price for the performance. Definitely a card for the enthusiasts that want or need to pack quad-fire into two slots.

Probably the early adopter price as well I'd expect it to drop to $700 or less within a month or two.

wait till gtx 590 drops in the coming weeks we should see this card at 400-550 unless nvidea prices the 590 at 1000 lol

just about every single card that is/was top dog came with a fluctuated price(8800 ultra was 700-800 when it came out i think)

no way the 590 will be cheaper than this one unless nv decides to think for its customers, for once :)

If nVidia ends up using GTX 570 cores instead of 580 cores, then it has a chance at being within the $700 price... otherwise? god damn, I've been skeptical of a dual GPU based on the 480/580 forever, but we'll have to see what comes out... everyone is pretty confident now that there will be a dual GF110 card (the whole dual GF100 was bogus).

570 cores clocked higher, or 580 clocked lower..whats the difference, performance wise, in the end? :)

400-550 is a pipe dream

the gtx590 is supposed to hit the market @ 799$ MSRP, so it should be the price here in canada. make it 50 bucks cheaper in the US. The fastest card will always be the most expensive. If NVidia is slower which i doubt it will be lower
