My System Specs

Default SLI Users! EVGA Drivers.

I got the 266.77 EVGA drivers from Guru 3D and I must say, these drivers are great! All SLI settings stay as set and are as smooth as butter. Believe it or not, the drivers run about 5c cooler than any of the others I have tried. The drivers are WHQL. Well worth a try.

Those are Forceware drivers, developed by Nvidia, not EVGA, just to avoid confusion.

Thanks. I knew that. It's just that they are not available from Nvidia and I thought most people would assume the drivers are for EVGA cards only. They are far better than any driver from Nvidia in my opinion. Maybe EVGA tweaked them somehow? I don't know but they work GREAT with my set up. Thanks again for the clarification.

Hmmm Guru3D says released by eVGA, but you cannot get them from EVGA's site. You may be right sir, and now I'm confused lol.

Thet WERE on EVGA site when the drivers were first released but for some reason,EVGA removed them. As you can see at Guru, there are a couple of other places to get them. If you try them, please provide your opinions as to heat reduction etc. I'm always on the hunt for a 'better' driver. Thanks.

Today I'm going install 267.26 Beta from Nvidia's site. I have two GTX 560's in SLi. As for cooling I took the shroud off my cards and the temps dropped nicely. I'm waiting for NCIX to get Gelid Icy Vision Rev 2 in stock. If I had GTX 580s I would get Arctic Cooling's Accelero Xtreme Plus, they're beauties.

Why not try the 266.77s? I found them to be better than 267.26. At least on my set up. By better,I mean smoother, crisp IQ and all settings like physx etc. stay the way you set them. AND they run cooler than regular Nvidia drivers. Like I sais, they are worth a try.

I never had any problem with cooling, they downclock automatically, Cores are 950MHz in 3D, and 350MHz in 2D. They idle at 27*C and hit 80*C in BF BC2 @ 6040x1080 resolution. Just waiting for the Icy Vision 2.

What are you guys seeing in performance right now with these new drivers? A friend and I are tempted to pickup another 470 to complete our setups but SLI a couple of years back seemed more promise than real world gains.
