Default 5850 or 6870?

***UPDATE***
I want to upgrade my video card... Right now I have a 5770 and $250 bucks.

I was thinking of maybe getting this:
XFX ATI Radeon HD 6870 1GB (HD-687A-ZNFC) ATI Radeon HD 6870 Chipset (900Mhz) 1GB (4200Mhz) DDR5 Quad Display (Dual Dual-Link DVI) /HDMI/2x Mini Display Port PCI-Express 2.1 Graphics Card | Canada Computers
OR
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5850 Chipset (725Mhz) 1GB GDDR5 (4000Mhz) Memory HD Audio Triple Display (Dual Dual-Link DVI)/HDMI/Display Port PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card | Canada Computers

My only problem is that I want to get another 4GB of ram and a window for my case from a guy on the forums LOL.

I need to sell this 5770 but I can't afford to not be able to use my computer for a day (and I dont have onboard video)

2 X 5770 in Crossfire = pretty much a HD5870...

I want my pc to last a long time, so I mean should I get it or not... the cheapest on shopbot was 120 bucks which is 50 dollars less than what i payed for my first one. I can do eyefinity without an active display port if I do crossfire right?

ONE MORE IMPORTANT QUESTION:

Can I easily make both cards render my both screens 1 frame each at a time? I dont want to waste a whole 5770 on my other monitor that doesnt even play games...

When you say 'render' I assume you mean play games, etc...unless you are actually rendering digital art...in which case, I don't know

Crossfire will link the cards together to 'render' (game) on the one screen...no worries. That's what crossfire is for!

I have 2 5770s in crossfire and they work well. Like someone said - it's like buying a 5870 for $100 (NCIX has a 5770 for less than $100 new...you don't need identical brands of 5770 to crossfire. I have a powercolour and an asus 5770 working together.

I'm in the same boat.. wondering if i'll jump on this "deal". $80 after MIR is quite nice. (brand new xfx..)

The Only reason I didn't buy it yet is cause I don't need it.. yet. My new monitor (1920x1080) is on his way.. I wonder if my 5770 will cut it for SC2 in 4vs4 games..

Thanks for the response, except It looks funky if you have 2 different video cards LOL. I dont mind spending the extra 20 bucks on it lol.

What I meant by render as one screen is, that because I have 1 screen I dont want one video card to be dedicated to that one screen, I want both video cards to be dedicated to both screens.

It'd be a waste to buy a 5770 for a small 19" secondary monitor that doesnt ever have a game on-screen LOL.

Think of it this way will my crossfired 5770s work the same way as my single 5770 creating a single image of both screens, or will one video card take over one screen and the other take over the other screen?

I just want to make sure that I dont waste my money on something that wont work properly...

For $120? No way. Sell your current card and put that money towards a more powerful single card opposed to less powerful cards in Crossfire.
