Default Upgrading my HD 4890

I'm looking to upgrade my ATI HD 4890.
Reason for this is giving the ATI for a friend builds.

I'm planning to switch over to Nvidia.

I'm right now looking at the MSI GTX 560ti.
How much of an upgrade will I be seeing from the 4890?

Or should I ditch out a bit more money to get the GTX570?

Right now on sale price :
560ti - $245
570 - $310

My System Specs

I'm thinking of upgrading my Video card from a BFGtech 9800GTOC 512MB to a EVGA GTX 570HD

And later on get a ASUS VE278Q 27in Monitor to go with that Video Card.

PS. Sorry to orginal poster for jumping into your thread to ask my inquiry.

By the way what are your guys thoughts.

Depends on:
Which resolution do you play on?
What are your other components, mainly the psu.

from a 4890 to a 560ti you'd probably see at LEAST a 50% boost in graphics power. a 570 even more so, it's worth the cost if you have the spare change.

to gifter, you could pass by with a 560 if you want to save some money, since the monitor is only 1080p despite being 27", but the 570 would be a great choice as well if you can shell out the cash.

A 560 Ti is give or take on par with the 5870. From this chart and this review you can form some conclusions at how much FPS gain you will see.

So far I'm leaning toward the 570.

I m playing at 1080 with a 750w PSU

Price for 570 is $308 with $20 gift card.

With Crysis 2 and possibly battlefield 3 comming out later this year.

I do like to run stuff on high end candy.

the 6950 2gb is a better bang per buck.

wether it unlocks or not. but if you want to stick with nv, maybe the 560 then
