hd6870

Why does it seem like everyone is selling these off? I've been reading a lot of reviews and there doesn't seem to be any single card (in that price range) that beats them by a noticeable margin. Or is there some problem that I am not reading about?

It's not really any better than a 5850 for the most part. Other than the reduced price point vs the 58** series I have no idea why AMD bothered to release these.

Ya, i had picked up two of them for crossfire, and they seem decent. Just wondering why everyone was selling em off. I guess because if there was a single or dual set up that was that much better for close to the same price point I was gonna upgrade, or keep these and get some waterblocks for em.

I picked up 2 6870s when i got them for a rather good price and the fact that my 465GEs (unlocked to 470s) were chocking my primary card in my CM690 causing it to crash the drivers quite a bit. Seeing as i haven't been overly impressed with AMD's driver support for eyefinity or eyefinity with crossfire and i saw the 560Tis i jumped back to Team Green and loving it ever since. Thats my story/reason why at least

because of the big brother 6950 which is really close in retail asking price, with the geforce 560 around there too? :)
