Default dual 5770 or new card

Im wondering if its worth picking up another 5770 to run crossfire or if i should ditch it and go for the 6000 series? I have a PII x4 955/890fx board/4gb gskill/600w corsair psu plus one 5770 and a 22" 1080 monitor.
I've heard the 5770 scales quite well but dont know if its worth getting over the newer generation.

Single card solutions are always preferable over similar performing multi-card setups.

Are you unhappy with the performance of your card right now? or are you trying to 'futureproof'.

Personally, I would pick up a 2nd used 5770 for <$100 (if you can). The performance is roughly on par with the 5870 and even 560 Ti.

Nominally I would say get the newest possible tech. But it all depends on your finincial situation.

If even selling the card you don't have enough coin to grab a new 6950, they opting for a second 5770 would be the ideal way to do it.
They do scale fairly well and it would get you going again.

I've been debating the same, but as I don't want to spend more than $100, I think I'm going to pickup another 5770 as they are selling for < $100. :P
