I would go w/ the 2GB just because it the chances of it being able to be unlocked is still very good.

Grab the XFX for the warranty and their good support team.
And might as well spend a bit extra for the 2GB, it's what I did.

I have a pair of Sapphire 2gbs that are shader unlocked and running strong. I have unlocked a couple other Sapphire cards for friends and they also worked great. Just be aware that if you go that route and want to unlock it is advisable to do a shader only unlock and leave the clocks alone.

I'm going with the Gigabyte version, simply because this is what the local shop could get. I have also had good expirence with other Gigabyte products in the past, (not video cards), and l believe that since they arent an Sapphire, or XFX, chances are their stock will still be early versions of 6950's, i am sure that there hasnt been any locked cards in the wild yet, but this is a good bet it wont be mine.
