2010 and 2009 video cards are built on the same 40 nm chip, so I'd do with the 5870 because at year's end when the 28 nm chips come out, you'll probably be glad you waited.

Besides the ASUS 570 DirectCuII, I think the Palit Sonic 570 has upgraded VRMs...but I have a store credit from NCIX and they don't keep those..

MSI Twin frozr II aren't better than reference in terms of VRMs AFAIK... If they were to pull at "Hawk or Lighting" edition, maybe...but it's not the case..
