Default AMD + SLI - Suggestions?

I got an MSI NF980-G65 motherboard recently from another member and feel like giving SLI a try for the first time in a couple years. Its a 980a chipset that supports up to tri-sli at 16x/8x/8x. I already own a GTX285 2Gb.

Should I:
A) Sell the GTX285 2Gb and buy 2x decent Fermi cards
B) Sell the GTX285 2Gb and buy 3x of the above for some tri-sli fun.
C) Keep the GTX285 2Gb and try to find another for SLI
D) ???

What do you guys think? Please keep in mind that this is a budget project since this system will be a secondary gaming system and might someday be running 3 monitors (3x 1900x1200) so some horsepower is needed.

Thanks, yet again, for your opinions and ideas everyone.

I'd sell the 285 and go Fermin.

But two or three?

I'd be awesome if I could get my hands on something like 3x 460 1Gb or something, we'll see.

I'd also need to buy a Tri-sli bridge too I guess.

Going 3 460s would probably be a good buy (depending on when you want to buy it as we dont know how much or what performance the 560 will be whenever it comes out).

I imagine you could probably find a tri-sli bridge easily off of the forums from someone whose board came with. I'd offer mine though i know i'll get a green itch in the future and who knows if i may need it myself.

Hang on, all the 460s im looking at only have 1x SLI connector? Doesnt that mean they can only do 2 card SLI? I thought 2x SLI connectors were needed on each card in a 3-way or 4-way SLI. Its been a while, like i said.... lol.

When is the 560 due out ? Depending on the timing, it might be worth the wait. I would expect a drop in resale value of the GTX 460 once it is out. At least, if the trend of the 500 series continue.

I am currently running 2 GTX480 on 3 1920 * 1080 LCD. It is fun....

On a secondary note. The state of the AMD + SLI is sad.

IF its soon, then i hope someone decides to give me some 460s for cheap, lol.

Yeah, AMD + SLI is sad, but im willing to give it a shot to prove its still possible.

The CPU will be an OC'd 1055T, so im not really worried about "holding back" anything at all. My 1090T hit 4Ghz with ease, so i expect the 1055T to at least reach 3.6-3.8Ghz.

The GTX465s DO have two SLI connectors though? Interesting.

Keep in mind that I'm much more inclined to buy up someone's used tri-sli rig than get a new one from somewhere. So, anyone have some tri-sli they wanna sell? Or an Extra GTX285 2Gb or two? lol....
