new video card for 130$?

I'm currently running a XFX 8800 GT alpha dog edition.
Got a few dollars loose from the holidays and I'm wondering which newer card I should spend my money on.

I got about 130$ to spend.
No SLI, no CrossFire.

What are your recommandations?

You sir, will be looking at the cheapest GTX460 you can find. It will be the best solution to replace your 8800GT. Those can be found for $160 or around that...

Well... New... to me at least.
I'm just looking for the best possible upgrade. The 8800 is what? 3 years old? Or somewhere along that line. Be it brand new, or second hand, I just want something better and greater that's going to cover my butt for another 2 years or so.

I don't play anything mainstream. I'm a gamer, but I'm a cheap gamer
I just get really confused when I start looking at card specs.

gtx 2xx is not supporting directx 11... only above gtx 4xx or hd 5xxx support directx 11 games...


just have to make sure... because a few weeks... or months later, there will be many new game...

I'd say if you can find a ultra cheap GTX460 opt for a GTS450.

130 is kinda not enough for a nice 6850,yet :)

Operation 7 is the game I'm playing. So it doesn't need to be a killer card. But it needs to be decent enough in case I decide to start playing a newer, more demanding, game.

What's Zotac. I keep seeing that company when I browse for vid cards.

It's another company that supplies video cards. They offer lifetime warranties on certain products, much like EVGA and XFX. I remember seeing a review on a ZOTAC GTX 480 that performed well in the noise department compared to the competitors.
