EVGA GTX 460 1GB Superclocked EE - eBay (item 260713632845 end time Jan-04-11 15:33:21 PST)

What's Zotac. I keep seeing that company when I browse for vid cards.
I would jump on that if I didn't have my gtx 260 already, it gets the job done for me and I don't have needs for anything newer at the moment :) I guess I'm lucky I play on such a low resolution.

I guess the "MSI GTX 460 Cyclone 768" is like just any other gtx460 and I should get it if I find it cheap?

More or Less blaze, there are 3 different GTX460's out there.

GTX460 768 with a 192bit Memory Bus
GTX460 1GB with a 256bit Memory Bus
GTX460SE 1GB with a cut down Core.

They do have distinct variences with their reletive performance, however I doubt you are going to find one in your Price Range.

NCIX.com - Buy ASUS GeForce GTS 450 Fermi 1024MB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E DX11 Video Card - ENGTS450 DIRECTCU/DI/1GD5 In Canada.

Something like that however on a budget from either NCIX or Newegg would be idea.

Unlike Dan's post, who is saying a 6850 is better (but $70-80 over budget) I always stay within it when asked. Because naturally spending more will net you more.

I spent a good chunk of my day reading reviews all around the web and it seems the 768mb version does very well compared to the bigger 1gb version. We have a member on here selling a GTX460 768 for a decent price so I think I'll go for that.

I also see some 5850s in the "For sale" section, and they are priced about the same as the GTX460. Are the 5850s better?

Oh no doubt they are all pretty evenly matched in the lower res section. I find though that my 1GB EE versions are much more suited to my gaming enviroment.

That being said, I never factored in a purchase of used, so if you can find one for a good price then go for it.

That's a good price for that 460...
How much for the 5850?
