What's a used GTX280 worth these days?

I'm thinking of selling it but wondering if it has any resale value being a BFG, other option keep it as a spare?

If you're a gamer, and/or if you don't already have a SPARE you NEED one IMHO! It could be to be used in the mean time in case of an RMA, or to trouble shoot your system...

You might get $100 or around that for the card, some might want it as a folding card. But is it worth it, to sell it to a friend, in case it bites the dust?

If you BADLY need the cash to use toward your next card's purchase, sell it, but if you can help it ,I'd keep it IMHO...

I keep a GTX260 Core 216 in storage in case my XFX HD5870 bites the dust...when I'll upgrade my 5870, I'll keep it as spare...and get rid of the GTX260..

You can keep your GTX280 to use AS PHYSX card, in case you grab a nice GTX570 or something?

Sort of figured it wasn't worth too much, so, I'll be keeping it for a spare or physx when something worth while needs physx.

Yeah, pretty much relegated to a gaming upgrade for a friend these days if you don't want to use it for PhysX. Even from a folding perspective, an OC'd 450 puts out within 300 PPD of what my 275 does, and 450's can be picked up these days for under $100 after MIR.

And it's not a great card to use for PhysX because of the power usage. Unless of course power is not a concern....

I sold mine to my bro for cheap a while back. I don't think there's a game out there it can't play. Cards just seem to be realeasing at lower and lower prices though.

I see these cards going for way too much on eBay. you might get close to 150 for it. still people looking to sli out there so these cards hold more value than the price performance might imply.
