I used the checkout method. I buy a LOT of stuff from NCIX. I wonder if they look at your spend habits with them before approving certain price matches.

I'm starting to be afraid that NCIX will be shipping out the revised versions of the HD6950 to fill all the backordered cards. Almost thinking about cancelling both my orders and I really do not want locked HD6950's.

how about contact them?

i think ncix staffs speak the truth... i mean they said they never found the list that sell less than 280...

anyway... i beleive it took a while to replace old hd6950... probably 1 month...

Have they already started to put out the new revision? I was hoping to get another HIS before the new revision looks like I might want to jump on that now.

I would get on it quick before they all go.

Has there actually been ANY confirmation that the PCB change will bring about locked 6950s? I've seen no evidence that AMD will start laser cutting the cores/connections to prevent all shaders from being unlocked. Strong suspicion, yes, but that is all. The only information about the revision to the PCB is that there will be a change from the current Volterra digital PWM to TI DrMOS.

AMD seems to be getting a strong spike in sales due to this, and I'm willing to bet when the new revisions are out people are still going to be unlocking their cards...

it would be against more sales to actually lock them, as the hope will drive people to buy :)

who here wouldn't go for a 6950 vs a 570, save for the physx needy? :)
