I did the unlock per command line.

You will need the newest GPU-Z version to confirm the unlock:

I picked up a Sapphire 6950 today from NCIX for $290 and I have managed to update the BIOS to 6970 specs and a score of 1316 in the Heaven Benchmark.

Ordered myself a pair of Powercolor HD6950's from NCIX. Hopefully both of them will unlock successfully.

As long as my wife gets her every night, and every morning, she wouldn't have a clue even if I sold the house, or it fell down like that Dido song. That's how we men get away with everything we do.

I know from reviews the card doesn't have much room for OCing. Heats up when you try. The it must be an unstable 6970 due to manufacturer fault, down-clocked to regain stability. Make one mistake and you will burn your money! then it's ladies afternoon added to your already busy schedule.
