Lightbulb HD4890 to GTX570...Good Upgrade?

Just wondering, I recently upgraded my CPU RAM and MB and my friends suggested me to upgrade my video card as well. I got my HD4890 1 year ago (2nd hand) and still works fine. I only use 22" monitor and plays SC2 and COD. When I go around my local computer store I found out a Zotac GTX 570 going for $329.00 - Is it a good brand and price to get? Or 4890 is more then enough for my rig? Thanks everyone for your input!

If you don't notice any lag or stuttering on your current setup, you may not NEED an upgrade. However, if you want to upgrade, I've had good experiences with my Zotac units (lifetime warranty), and that is definitely a good price for the 570.

get fraps and see what your frame rate is, and how it dips. at your resolution the present video card, as per above, should be ok. though :)

and to answer your question, massive massivei mprovement. if you do have to get it? wait for xmas special. same could be said about 299$ 6950 :)

4890 is probably still enough for what you play, now if you pickup say... Metro 2033, you may want a 570, from personal experience (briefly owned 2x eVGA 570's) they are good cards for the money, and almost match the 580 in performance (15,000 PPD per 570, 18,000 PPD per 580). If you have the money and would like the future performance id say get the 570, but if you dont have the money freely available, then stick to the 4890. We never REALLY need to upgrade... Thats also a great price for the card, my two where $360 a pop!

Well I hope I helped!
