Quadro Driver install?

I just downloaded the 259.81 Quadro drivers from Nvidia site. Is there any thing I should know before I install them? Is there a 'Best' way to install them? Driver cleaner? I just want to make sure, as I have never used Quadro before. Thanks all.

You shouldn't be using Quadro drivers at all, unless you have a Quadro commercial card. The most current Geforce drivers for your GTX 480's are version 260.99 found here: GeForce.com - Get the Most Out of Your GPU

Well... you shouldn't but people are, since you can run 3dmark 11 in SLI ... some have even said the performance is better than the current nvidia drivers (something with GPU usage in games)... but you have to have an altered .INF file for it to work... I would say just wait until Nvidia releases a new driver...

How about Developer drivers? I have a problem with regular drivers as they lose settings for Physics and color settings every time I start or re-boot my computer. I'm using the 260.99 right now.

If you are talking about Beta drivers, there still aren't any newer than 260.99 for 470/480's.

try an older driver too see if you have the same issues... and yes there are no beta drivers out at the moment...

I have a set of 'Nvidia Developer Driver 263.06' downloaded and ready for install if it won't screw anything up. I know I could try it and see for myself but I'm just not comfortable without some info on Developer drivers and the best way to install them. Any and all info is very much appreciated. Merry Christmas!

you won't be able to install quadro drivers unless you mod them or downloaded them pre-modded

i'm using 265.90 on my 580 and no problem so far

just install like other drivers, with the lastest nvidia gui you don't even have to remove the old drivers first, well i don't. I know some people are really anal about drivers but to each their own.

How about the Developer Drivers? Are they the same as Quadro? Are they some kind of beta? Now I REALLY want to try them. I'm not going to until I hear a bit about what kind of drivers they are. Thanks all.

it's just drivers, install them and if it doesn't work uninstall them, there's not much to messed up IMO
