They're cvpa panels, which is Samsung/Sony's answer to Hitachi/LG's eIPS tech. In terms of image quality, they're better than tn, but less so than ips or svpa. The viewing angles are quite good.
The bezels are thin if you remember that they have to be able to support the weight of adjacent monitors. Also, this is targeted to CAD designers or professionals who need three screens of text at once moreso than price conscious gamers. Combine that with a nicely made heavy duty stand, and $1900 is a reasonable msrp.
