Default 6850 and 5850 in xfire?

Ok this is probably something I'm supposed to know, but being relatively new to ATI?AMD cards, can I xfire my 5850 and a 6850? Just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on the 6850....

No, I don't think you can crossfire across generations.

I don't think so, I haven't been able to crossfire different series yet.
The chart hasn't been updated yet, but usually there is enough differences to make them noncompatitable.
The only way would be if you had a board with Lucid Hydra Chip and don't use the CF bridge

Well then in that case a second 5850 might be the way to go. Or sell the 5850 I have and go bigger. Or just be happy :)
