What are you running for a PSU? The 460s aren't an excessively power hungry card, but you wouldn't want to be running one on a 1/2 pound beige-box wonder.

Yes, you will have no problems running a single card on any modern chipset. The only time you have to pay attention to brand of GFX is when you want to run more than one card (SLI/Crossfire).

I have a GTX 470 running with my Phenom 955, and it's a great combo. Plenty of 'enthusiasts' will say that nVidia and AMD shouldn't go together for one reason or another, but that's totally wrong.

Have fun!

I wouldn't say that. Most hardware enthusiasts know that GPU and chipset matching by manufacturer doesn't equal better performance. Fanboys, on the other hand, are a completely different story.

Fanboys were exactly what I was referring to, although I guess I should've made the quotation marks around 'enthusiasts' more noticeable. :P

Should have used bold, italics and underlined them.
