GTX580 vs SLI 2xGTX285. Worth it?

Is it worth to replace dual 285 setup with single 580?

Can't find reference between two... as they too far apart.

I say no. A 480 is not woth my 2-260's. Your SLI 285's are gonna edge the 580.

^^^ Thats a "loaded" question, they certainly would be "close"...don't want to harp on Vantage (Benching), but I was impressed to see some single 580 scores rolling in at low 30K....my dual 280's did around 26K and 3 x 280's 34K....I think you'd find some very noticeable gains running various games at high Res with Max AA/AF....

personally I couldn't hold onto a few 2xx Series Cards this long....(wish I could) ..... ;)

Really guys it boils down to personal preference...certainly not "right / wrong"

480 vs 285 SLI.

Just add about 10-15% on to the 480 scores.

If you're not specifically running into multi-GPU related issues, and have the room for them on the motherboard, I don't think I'd bother upgrading right now.

I echo that sentiment. If it isn't broken, and you are getting the Frames you would like then I wouldn't really worry about it right now. PErhaps when the 570's or 560's (if they come) are out it might be a better option as well.

Hard question seeing as the performance gains will be small but you do get the benefit of DX11, less power, and probably less noise going to a single card.

If you are currently happy with performance than don't upgrade thats my rule(except I am never happy :haha:).
