Yeah, I'm eyeing the HIS ICEQ3 3870 (trying to avoid Sapphire this time around). It might not post quite the same #s as the 8800GT, but I really like the fact that it exhausts outside of the case (Doubly important for CPU-Only WC IMO, as you lose some airflow in the case so dumping GPU heat outside should make a difference).

friend of mine just replace two 8600GT in sli for a HIS 3850 Turbo edition with the iceQ cooler and damn that 3850 give him a about 3k + pts in 3dmark 2005 compare with his 8600GT setup

and exhausing hot air outside made his cpu temps drop by a good 5°C

Thanks for all the info guys. I now have my 8800 Ultra, new Enermax PSU, Q6600 and 4GB C Ballistix RAM sitting on my floor waiting for a 780i mobo that is backordered (I know its hard to believe a 780i on backorder). I went this way because I can possibly take advantage of the stepup program (if within the 90 days and if the new flagship is worth it) and also leaves the option to SLI 2 Ultras if I want. No tri sli - I got the 780i because of the enryn option. I am upgrading from a P4P800, P4 2.6, 1 Gig Ram and a 9600XT so although I spent a pile I think I will be pleased - get prepared for "how do I do this ..." threads when I start the build.

EDIT - now to just get it all to fit in my Chieftec ;)

Thanks again
