Default Just a Random thought - 6870X2?
I was just looking at the "Dual 5770" thread, and a thought struck my head....

The Bart GPU are pin/drop in compatable with Cypress GPU PCB's.... I wonder if anyone is going to come out with a 6870X2 (or w/e the hell they would call it)...

I'm not expecting a refrence design from AMD at all, but manufactures always do crazy GPU designs that seem silly and stupid sometimes, and damn cool other times. It seems to be to almost be a given that someone, be it that AIB that created the dual 5770, or some other company like Shappire or w/e create one, even if just for show.

Having said that, I can't wait for the 69xx series!

interesting indeed. except the upcoming single core boss should address that performance envelope .

Amd is monitoring Nvidia, and they aren't likely to sit idle if they release some rehashed cards. I'm certain there will be some new cards.

There were rumors of a 6970. And if it truly is compatible with the 58xx GPU on a component level, then there is no reason why its not feasible or impossible.
