Arrow GTX 460 768 + BFG Physx card

Hey guys,
i currently have a GTX 460 mb graphics card, and could possibly pick up a BFG Physx 128 MB card cheap to go along side it,would it make much of a diffrence?
I do play games that have Physx such as Metro 2033 and Batman AS ;) and BC2.

Haha. You should give a smack to whoever is trying to sell you a dedicated PhysX card.

They are no longer supported by the NVIDIA PhysX drivers as far as I know.

Are you the "Real" Linus from ncix? if so WOW!

Its not someone i know, its on Ebay and just caught my attention,i was not sure if it would be any use anymore though as they are quite old now.

I was thinking of picking up a Asrock N7AD-SLI motherboard and throwing in an old 8800GT as dedicated PhysX card along side my 460 GTX.

Yeha, that's him. It would be a very bad idea to buy one, NVIDIA had dropped support of them a long time ago.

I'm at work currently, so I can't check for pictures of the mobo. But I know you don't need SLI to use a card for PhysX. As long as you have two PCIe x16 slots and the power supply strong enough to power two cards, you should be fine.

Sadly with that mobo you only have 1 PCIe x16. Though you could use a PCIe x1 but there aren't many GPU's that have that. So looks like you are stuck not having a physx card unless you can find a nvidia GPU at 1x PCIe.

For the games you play the only one to see a massive improvement is Batman AS. Metro 2033's physx is pathetic. BFBC2 does NOT use physx.

Well ive got my hands on another motherboard with 2x Pci-e X16 slots (ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium)

Im going to use the GTX 460 as my main card, and use my 8800GT 512Mb as Dedicated Physx.

belgolas, ive just purchased both Metro 2033 and Batman so all should be good, also cant wait to replay Mafia 2.

Does anyone know if theres a way to turn off/disable the 8800GT when im not using a Physx based game? or is it fine just to leave it on?
