Default Asus, Sapphire, or XFX

The big question concerning the Big Three of the ATI 6870.

Sapphire comes with more extras, but I heard that they send out cards with problems?
So it's between XFX and Asus, and I'm leaning towards Asus because of how many times my XFX 4870 has crashed and how many problems it has given me.

Help?
Edit: System specs are in my profile.

It comes down to brand preference, warranty and sometimes when you have an aftermarket cooler la MSI cyclone. In your case, go with the brand you prefer. I do love XFX for the dual warranty thing. So I'd vote for XFX !

problems, as in 6850 with 1120 shaders instead of 960? :)

whichever is cheaper.

I would either go ASUS or XFX. I tend to avoid Sapphire/Diamond for RMA issues dating way back.

perhaps they are better now, but I've been scarred from it and it would take a lot of convincing to go back to either.

You cannot go wrong with XFX or Asus.

Pick either one of the two that appeals to you the most.

I had dealt with the ASUS RMA department in Markham recently and my overall experience was good.

Shipped my defective product Thursday, they received it Friday and I got a replacement by Wednesday.

You pay for one way shipping.

Asus is in Markham ? Great to know. Makes the RMA process easier on us Canucks. I am currently doing an MSI RMA, and the shipping was to Concord, Ontario. I will remember this is my next purchase.

If you're buying a reference card, there is ZERO difference between XFX/Asus/Sapphire outside of RMA.

They are manufactured in the same damn place.

If you're buying a non reference card, then there may be varying issues etc but only then.

Well if MSI is in Concord then thats only 20-30 mins from Markham so I don't see that being a major difference. Either way good to know these two brands RMA centres are local.
