I just wish the PC games would uncouple from the consoles a bit faster or that they release some ultrapowerful next gen consoles to encourage game developers to step- up a bit.
It just seems weird that's all. And I guess everyone should thank AMD for spurring such competition.

That is not planned. Plus, my GTX 460 doesn't hit 900Mhz. Not many do.

I figured since the 6870 already had high clocks, it wouldn't make as much of a difference to overclock it by a few hundred mhz vs. a card that started with lower clocks... can't make a judgement on that teaser but it will be interesting to see

Niceeeeeeeeeeee. AMD has definitely going it going for them.

You want to overclock your 5870 and 5850 as well and do a OCed comparison between all 4 cards? If you have time of course.

For anyone curious, with an Intel Core i7 860 @ 3.6GHz and two stock Sapphire 6870 cards, I was able to pull just under 26000 points in performance mode in Vantage. :)

Nice, I hit about 26.5k with my stock 470 SLI. Pretty good for a 5770 successor!

How are your temps though? I'm hearing about 6870s running really hot for some people.
