Yes. I did. Sapphire made some errors with HD 6850 cards they sent out.

Well done SKYMTL.

I just finished reading the full review and I find that the placement of this card is really interesting. The performance is right on par with the 5800 series cards more or less (which is about right I would guess since these 6800 were initially supposed to be labelled 6700s). Were I in the market for a new card and upgrading from the 4000 or older, I would go the 6800 route. However, I a currently rocking a 5850 and now I am going to watch for a price drop to see if I can grab another at a really good price.

That said, a 6850 essentially prices out the 5830 in both cost and performance. So short of a price drop in the 5830s, there is no reason to go for a 5830 over a 6850 at all IMO.

I look forward to seeing the Xfire and OC information when you guys get it done.

Cheers!
5850_Canuck :)

The Gigabyte card is pretty btw... http://img.ncix.com/images/56232_1.jpg

Video editing with CS5? GTX460 1GB.
Everything else? 6850. Unless you have a preference for nvidia.

Anyhow, competition is always good for consumers. It keeps one another in check. Look at Nvidia with their 8 series and ATI with no competition until the 4xxx. Too much incompetence. I'll root for whoever can bring the best bang/$ (with reasonable performance of course. Otherwise we'd all be using 5670s/5770s lol)

The 6850 is demands less power, will probably be cooler (in some instances) and outperforms the 460.
