do you guys think i would benefit more from upgrading my 4870s to 6870s or a single 6970?

Or better to upgrade my ram, cpu and motherboard? I don;t think my CPU at 4.2ghz is bottlenecking anything, but im not sure.

I suspect dual 6870s will not only be faster then a single 6970 but also a 6990. We'll find out when the reviews are out.

And yes we did mention a mobile version is in the works. The current "mobile website" was simply a stop gap because people were clamoring for "just install a simple plugin to let us browse instead of not being able to load the page at all". Unfortunately we listened I'll see what can be done about getting it disabled.
Hurray, I can browse the site with my iPod Touch again. Thanks for fixing it.

Probably, "leaked" results seem to have the 6970 being out performed by CF'd 5850's (X12000 in Vantage)

Damn near 100% scaling doesn't look too bad does it? Unless your waiting for an HWC xfire review... As for including a factory overclocked card, I don't think they should be included, since the actual review product itself isn't overclocked. We need to compare reference to reference to get a good idea of the performance of each card. Just because a 460 FTW is in the same price range as another card doesn't mean we should compare them to each other. It's easier to get a performance/price ratio on stock cards, especially since I can overclock the cards myself

Well we'll see what comes of the HWC Review but thats a good start.
Once I get an AM3 rig up and running I'm going to do it.
It looks like a real winner for me.

Why is this review site using 10.9a drivers instead of the compatible 10.10 drivers that AMD provided to reviewers for these cards?

AMD's Radeon HD 6850 and 6870 graphics processors - The Tech Report - Page 7

Correction: Drivers appear to be legit, but I call BS on 768mb 460 almost outperforming a 5870 in borderlands.

Yeah, it's not going to happen. Maybe tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
