well, if it's October, i can live with... Prolly get a 5850 or 5870 if that's the case... But if it's November, then screw it, i'm getting the 5830, and i'm going to take-on the full placebo effect and say to myself that it's WAY better than the 4860, LoL...

I've had a radeon 3870 since january. I was not willing to upgrade because anything under $200 just didn't seem worth it (at the time the 5830 was over that price and I'd heard about issues with the 4890 since that was a 48xx that was pushed really hard). My one friend had upgraded from his 3870 to a 5770 and was not in any way convincing as to the performance gains.
I have a 4850 now that I got used for $20. I wouldn't pay full price for the difference in performance. But it's still nice to have.

I recommend if you upgrade GTX460 (1GB) or higher. The exception of course would be if you are having a "make or break" issue with one of your games where just a bit more power would allow you to play it exactly how you want, FPS and setting-wise.

Take me perhaps with a bit of a grain of salt because I am in college and don't have much cash for new computer upgrades. I've come to find that some of those who do, are often willing to part with their old parts for cheap prices.
