How tight is tight

I installed an Artic Cooling Twin Turbo Pro onto my 4890. The setup comes with some spacers to sit between the the heatsink plate and the gpu. My question is how tight to I tighten the screws? I crisscrossed as I tightened down the screws. Do I want the spacers to compress a little?

its hard to explain, but turn until you need lots more force than the last 1/2 - 3/4 turn. over tightening=no good, as you have implied, sir :)

Stick your finger in your pooper, this tight:) No seriously, you want them to be almost completly screweb like dan said.

Well this thread is dissapointing! Not about anything I was hoping for...

But back on topic... With the Twin Turbo Pro, you should be able to look at the card from the side and see that there's solid contact with the GPU. If you've tightened it up and you still see there's a space or bad contact between the GPU and the cooler, then there's a problem in either how you're installing it, or the product. If you're not sure how the contact is, pull the cooler off and look at the spread of the TIM to get an idea.

*EDIT* - Here's a video with an install walkthrough in case you're not sure...
