Default Am I getting Valve: Black Box with my HIS 3850 from DirectCanada?

This is what i bought. There is a picture of "Free games on Steam" pamphlet in the pictures section but in the title or description nothing says that it comes with it. Anyone know?

Nope, sorry to report that you're not getting the Black Box. You're getting Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.

HIS Graphic Cards - Power Up, Gamers!

Unless it's explicitly mentioned when you're buying an ATI powered card, you don't get a Black Box coupon.

I just got the HIS HD 3850 from NCIX today and it only comes w/ HL2: Lost Coast and HL2: Deathmatch.

If you order an HD 3800 card AND an AMD Phenom or Black Edition CPU, you get the Black Box ...

So really you only get one game? Lost Coast is a free download, and even then deathmatch can be downloaded for free as long as you own a ATI card or some deal like that?

Pretty much, you get a code that will allow you to download Deathmatch for free. Though I was shocked at the lost coast part of it, seem's like they are being cheap with that move. At least they could have included HL2 instead of a free download. Oh well, in reality, you can't really complain considering it's a bonus that you aren't really paying for.

And I might be wrong here, but weren't ATI cards giving out the Black box at one point? o_O

ATI is still giving away Black Box coupons, but usually with 3870s and not 3850s. Even then you still have to be careful, though. Unless the description for the card you're buying specifically mentions "Free Black Box Coupon Included", then you're not getting one. "Free Games" does not automatically mean it's the Black Box.
