Default what should i got for? gtx 460 or hd4890?

this is my computer right now

Asus P5K/EPU
E8400
2GB RAM
Thermaltake qfan toughpower 500w
8800GT

im playing on 1600X1050.

i really confused becuase i dont know if to go for th GTX 460 or the HD4890 overclocked version.

the gtx 460 is really worth the extra money?
if im buying HD4890 i will save about 80-100$.

there is a big difference between those cards ?
what card you think should i go for?

howdy and welcome aboard.

perhaps get the 768 meg gtx 460 in super special?

yes, the difference is substantial. not earth shattering, but there.

add 1-2 gigs more of ram.

I agree with dang 100%. 460 is better than the 4890 from DX11 stand point alone. If you're not sure and can wait, new stuff is coming out soon and the BST will have loads of cards for sale. You might be able to get one now for a good price.

He suggested more ram and believe it or not, it made a good system faster in my case.

Welcome to HWC!

if the slides are worth anything, hd5770 price wise beating out 5850 current card, so around the price of a gtx 768 megger now.
