Yeah, it really makes no sense. I mean, all the suppliers have loads and loads of 8800GTS 320 and 640 cards still, are they maybe going to re-brand them??

And yes, with the 7.11 drivers you can OC in Crossfire.
Ok super :) will stick with my HD 3870 when I get it (Kinda tired of my laptop with a X1300) and then we will see when Xfire comes along in my system.

It makes perfect sense....if you know what Nvidia has coming up to battle ATI's upcoming releases.

Look at the market right now; no one has made a renewed assault on the high-end bracket in over a year now. It only makes sense that both companies are positioning themselves in the mid-end before they release a high-end card. This flies in the face of what has happened for years past where high-end cards were released FIRST and then a few months later the lineups were completed with the midrange cards.

Logic yeah! Do you think I should expect a refresh in Q2 2008 ?

I'm asking because I would like to build a rig this spring, and just want to know a bit more about what to expect in terms of new hardware. ? I could use the step-up program of EVGA and buy a mid-range card to fit my increasing need of a desktop :D

I would like to grab a yorkfield too, but I heard about possible delays. Just rumors or facts? (a bit Out of subject sorry)

I can't comment on any upcoming Nvidia releases or when they will be available. Sorry.

Lol I found the name of this card funny. When I saw the name "Alpha Dog" I thought of the Justin Timberlake movie and it was going to be a remix type card like fatal1ty.
