^^^ Yeah actually I'm happy with this AX at the moment.....I'm going to clean up my cabling a bit tomorrow and I'll post up some pics....my time has been consumed running P95 testing OC settings on this 980X.....just getting into the final Hrs P95 with this 980X at 4.11 Ghz .......Max. Temps 69C and as low as 56C ;) Definitely require more vCore than DO's but run cooler..looks like 4.2...maybe 4.3 on my TRUE will be it (depending upon required Voltages)....4.11 24/7 for sure though !!!

I am in no rush to buy. just looking around after more research I found that 3x 5870 would be a better choice then 2x 5970 for about the same price. When are the 6xxxx series due out ?

The rumour is Christmas or so. I would wait until then if you're in no rush, then you'll have a choice between 5870s, 6000 series and some 480s. Hopefully price drops on the 5870s and 480s too.

I had two 5970s x-fire and could never get them running properly. Driver issues galore with those cards. I have gone back to Nvidia and the two 480 GTXs in SLI are as smooth a smooth can be. No driver issues. I am using the latest certified drivers from Nvidia. Nvidia is light years ahead of ATI. Another thing, ATI is no longer Canadian so there is no reason whatever to buy it.Nvidia all the way!

Classic example of a fanboy.... Hope there is some sarcasm in there.

Quad anything seems to be troublesome. There are custom drivers that work wonders though.

Wait imo. AMD's new cards are too close to go buying a high end setup right now. But if you are set on it, I have a pair of GTX 480s I'll sell after I upgrade to 6870 CF
