Default help with gtx 460

sup guys i just finished buidlign my rig .... and when i turn on... black screen :S:S:S:S... im goign crazy right now. i know card is well connected fan is on and everything.. ive checked everything and all seem fine... :(. i even tried an old pci card i have and no video also...

what are common mistakes for first time builder that can cause this type of problems?

pls help me :(

If you tried a different video card instead then chances are the video card isn't the issue. Try one stick of memory at a time.

coming from the other thread, ALL power cables properly plugged in? nothing shorting out?

do plz drop us some specs, memory fails us on the many questions and different builds around here :)

my memory is corsair dominators 2x2gb 99924 ddr3 1600mhx

amd 1055t 6 core

asus m4n98td evo mobo

gtx 460

:(

i think everything is well connected all fans are on and everything... although i dont even get a beep from my mobo ... nothing... black screen

put it together on your table, this way stuff that might be overlooked may be not this time

Is the 4-pin power socket for your CPU plugged in? When I got my C2D, that one held me up for days because I was used to older Athlon/PIIIs that didn't use that power connector.

Or how about posting a picture of your computer's innards?
