Default Triple SLI with Aftermarket Coolers - How to connect?

Hello there,

I'm going Triple SLI by the end of this month, and was wondering how I'd connect all three cards .. since 2 of them will be using the Zalman VF3000F. According to a user in the EVGA forums, I'd have to connect the cards with flexible bridges and like in the picture (http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/2669/32381850.jpg).

Is that correct? And does anyone know where I can get black flexible bridges? Those brown ones are buttugly ._."

Not sure about the way to connect, but why not just wrap electric tape around the brown bridges? :P

Also if you don't mind me asking, where did you get those Zalman VF3000F coolers? I've been trying to find one for my GTX 470 and can't find one anywhere.

won't work because VF3000F cooler takes up 3 slots instead of 2. the OP's question was how to connect tri-sli cards with regular flexible bridges.

exactly :) maybe I can hook them in series? like this:

Card 1: SLI 1 / SLI 2
---------x----------
Card 2: SLI 1 / SLI 2
-----------------x--
Card 3: SLI 1 / SLI 2

But wrapping tape around the cable isn't a bad idea actually .. I think I can live with that ^^

@Jd007: I replied to your pm btw.

^^^ You do realize that the Tri Sli Scaling with Fermi's isn't very good at all......unlike the previous 2xx Series Cards.....not that I would ever want to disillusion anyone from Tri Sli,,,,as it is very cool...but the gains I've seen in many games is very low and in some cases non-existant....you will gain around 6 - 8K in Vantage over a highly OC Sli Rig ;) ......perhaps the Drivers have matured since I last looked into it....

someone linked a 3 way 480 sli vs 4 way crossfire, looking for the link. rj's right, anything over 2 cards doesnt make it worth it, unless youre looking for small gains.

I know very well about the scaling :) but thanks for your concern ^^

I just wanted to know how to hook them up together since the zotac is a 3-slot monster.
