My System Specs

Default GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GV-N470SO-13I ?

I've been looking for a couple of cards to replace my 2 XFX GTX285's and during my dd I came across that card. Not a whole lot of info on it, aside from http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...-470,2713.html where they were able to O/C it to core clock to 800 MHz and the shader clock to 1600 MHz, while maintaining more than reasonable temps.

It's about the most expensive GTX470 available Newegg.com - GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GV-N470SO-13I GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card but cheaper than a 480.

Any thoughts on pulling the trigger on two of these cards?

I suggest holding off on any major purchases in the GPU department for the next two months.

Why? Is ATI or NVIDIA releasing anything new soon?

Expect a review of the GTX 470 SoC soon. It is an excellent card but buying two of them is just a bit....excessive. ;)

After reading the preliminary info on the 6870 I'm glad I followed your advice.
