Default Overclocking 5970 at 1.22 volts

Hey guys I have overclocked my 5970 to 1000 mhz core and 1315 memory at 1.22 V. I was just wondering if anybody thinks that this voltage is too high for the card.

I have the Accelero XTREME for third party cooling.

What's the stock voltage? What are your load temperatures?

Load temps are 74 degrees celsius the stock voltage of the card is 1.05v although they recommend using 1.1625 as safe for achieving decent overclocks but I believe that is with a stock cooler.

if you can keep the temps low, adding extra juice won't be TOO bad, but with every extra millivolt you increase, the lifespan decreases regardless. I wouldn't go too much higher then that though personally.

Hmm that is what I was worried about. The temps are low but I'm not sure the overclock is worth risking the card.

you can use gpu-z to monitor your vrm temps, those things can get quite hot.
