Default Best aftermarket cooling for 8800GT.

Hey everyone just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with their aftermarket heat sink fans for the 8800GT. The Accelero S1 is the one I really want to buy but I am not sure how the whole thing works if you don't want to go just passive, such as is there a way to get 2 120mm fans on it with no modification/jimmy rigging from out of the box. Thanks a lot.

We have someone that reviewed the S1 on an 8800GT here 8800GT + Accelero S1 = Love?

You can use Zip-ties to attach a fan or two of your choice :)

I was originally going to go for the S1 on my card, but then it would interfere with the side door fan on my antec 900. So I went with the VF900 (got it for $20 open box) Zalman instead.

I have the S1 on my 8800GT with dual 120mm fans, installed using tye-wraps (zip ties). Silent setup and allows the card to run very cool (47C load).

Could someone tell me if the warranty from XFX allows me to change the HSF?

No problem replacing the stock heatsink with an aftermarket model.

Won't find anything cheaper than the S1 to work so well with a 120mm fan.

I have the S1 with the turbo module, 2 (80mm?) fans that clip right on to the fins, so quiet that you will cut your ear on the blade before you hear it and it cools my overclocked 1950pro (I know its not as hot as 8800gt, but still) to 30C idle, 41C full load...

turbo module is only 8 bux

Yeah I was thinking about how loud the Turbo Module would be, I have a Antec Tri-Cool lying around here they are pretty quiet at low speed.

turbo module is quieter than an antec tri-cool set at "low", can personally vouch for that.
