Ok, I bought from NCIX. The order was placed August 18th. How should I go about it? try to see what EVGA can do or see what NCIX will do?

My point is that if the issue is software or configuration-related then replacing the motherboard will not fix it. You should always try to narrow down the problem before replacing any hardware.

As it's under 30 days, start with talking to NCIX tech support. If they can't resolve it, then an RMA to NCIX is probably in order.

i think you got some dust in the PCIe slot. i had a problem with my 4890 showing as 4X and after 2 hours diagnosing i just blew out the slot and it showed X16 again. hopefully this is all it is for you
