Question how much performance will I get from upgrading to a 460

Hi, new to this forum

I just have two questions to ask of you.

I just ordered a
MSI GeForce GTX 460 Fermi Cyclone OC 725MHZ 1024MB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI DX11 PCI-E Video Card

how much of a upgrade would i get from a
ATI Asus 4830 512mb card.

Second question There might be a glitch with my current ati card as its saying it has 2gs of memory and it also wont display its model make on sites such as canyourunit.com.

Thanks

it should be pretty nice. whats the rest of the system like? powersupply? :)

techPowerUp :: Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic Platinum 1 GB Review :: Page 1 / 35 to give you an idea. plus these cards,so far, oc very well so basically with a little bump in power consumption it gets to the levels of much more expensive cards

The 460 is 50% better than your 4830.

A great resource is over at Home - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

They have a 'bench' where you can compare most GPU's from within the last 2-3 generations.
