If the upgrade doesnt cost you anything or at least very little (less than 20-30), then yes by all means upgrade. The 460 will have more resale value later on too if you do decide to sell it in the future. If you have to pay more, then no, its not a worthy upgrade

Also, depends on what you are playing...I found my friends 4890 is not as quick at loading BFBC2 as my GTX460 is; heck my 4870x2 was also not as fast at loading.

I say go for it because i find that the Nvidia drivers offer me more stability and compatibility versus ATI drivers.

I would use the 460 over the 4890 any day of the week. Equal/better performance, less watts and it FOLDS to boot!

The fact it isnt costing you a red cent makes it a no brainer!
