3 5770's would be all of that. Well ok the 5850s would beat it but cheapest one I can find is just under $300. Go for the 5770's bro if that's what your set on cause clearly there isnt anything else that will suit your needs. Only thing is is that is a bunch of extra power... but it's probably equal to a 480 so no big deal LOL jk

I see you have a foling tag Cptn = nVidia if you want folding to be part of the fun.

I still love my GTX260 but if I were going to upgrade it would be the GTX460 for me.
The GTX470 is on sale, true, but the lower power requirements and performance ratio of the GTX460 make it a sweet spot Gamer/Folder card just like my GTX260 is/was.

A GTX460 won't do for the performance he is looking for.

im thinking oc'ing properly a 460 should get him there. http://tpucdn.com/reviews/Zotac/GeFo...es/perf_oc.gif , http://tpucdn.com/reviews/Zotac/GeFo...es/perfrel.gif

and power figures below the 470 even when oc'ed, from what is reported around the web. this without touching vgpu of course.

best thing, but a bit painful, would be to rid himself of the gx2 till it still holds some value.

trouble is, even a 480 cant do maxed out anything at his preferred resolution. might have to sit this one out for another gen..kinda repeating meself :p
