Smile Video Cards

Good choice for a gpu, EVGA having great warranty and support. I own the HAF X and have a 480. If you can install a fan behind the gpu, it'll run even cooler. The HAF has a shroud that comes with the case and I can put my hand on the card after running for an hour.

1. Fermi 470 / 480's run hot...get used to it, no biggie, with proper air flow there should be no ill effects.

2. With Evga's "AR" Lifetime Warranty and Forum Support / Customer Service the choice is a no brainer.

3. All Fermi 470 / 480's OC like friggin crazy......just watch te Temps and set-up Fan Profiles, Ive had my 480's at 850 / 1700 / 2100 without Artifacts.

4. Yes, you can Mod your Air Flow Bracket yourself...but why would you fvck with your Warranty and void it? (if the Card doesn't come with the High Flow Air Bracket...Evga is offering them to Registered Card owners for free..shipping to Canuckland is $5).

Well the EVGA 470..

Voltage .950
Vesus Asus model
Voltage .925

Not that bad, but I am able to run 800/1600/1750 with 1.025 which is excellent, my asus needed alot of juice to get OCCT stable (1.075-1.087).

I havent ran it higher; no games that really need the extra boost. But I ordered the EVGA Hi-flow bracket this week (just pay s/h), and also a 30 dollar sample of some IC Diamond i'm going to apply aswell.

If the temps drop 2-5c i'll try to get the 850's-875's stable.

It would be nice to see it run cooler, but that's a great overclock. I'd probably try replacing TIM or checking into the high-flow bracket before returning that particular card.
