The fan is 80mm which I remind you is absolutely huge for a graphics card.

We all have our lvl of noise that we can deal with. My 5670 cyclone also have a 80mm fan on it which is less thinner and at 55% it's starting to be noisy.

I agree and I hate noise as well but there is no way you would hear this fan over those in your case.

Nice review, as well as a nice card. Belong to me, a htpc must have a 5xxx series card if it can be afforded. This card give us the hdcp features with some horsepower to playgames on a 1080p tv with a decent power consumption and noise level, and fit smaller case. and with the xfx warranty, it's a pretty nice release.

If I go by your numbers, the 460 is 66C (64 for the 768mb one) full load, 34 Iddle while the 5770 single slot is 74C full load and 51 idle.

Edit: You should fix the typo too (much less heat than instead of that)
