My System Specs

Default HD 4890 Reference Design

Anyone know where i can find one of these to purchase? I can't seem to find any 4890's at all except for this one: Newegg.ca - XFX HD-489X-ZSFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

I want the reference design in hopes of putting 2 of these under water (I already have one).

If anyone here is selling one send me a PM and ill get back to ya

no i don't got the blocks yet, as im waiting to see if i can find the second card before i purchase the blocks.

As for finding them, I found a couple of reference designs on ebay with "ok" prices, but theres a local shop i might check out first to see if they can bring one in

cool. dont want to burst ya dreams :) but you think its worth it to go with the 4 series in xfire?

i borrowed me bud a pair of older nv cards for him to experiment with hacked drivers+sli . once he gets it going,if big if, hell order a couple 460's for good measure.

I agree with _dangtx_. For the money a pair of 460s would be a better purchase with performance and DX11 features. jmho. You could still get a good return for your 4890 to put towards the purchase of 2 460s. Price wise from what I've seen quickly searching online, it's a no brainer.

I would gladly do this in a heartbeat, but i currently have an AMD chipset

I really dont wanna get into the mess of hacking drivers and such, so going SLI would require a complete overhaul on my system
