So do all the other GTX 460's have the same restrictions as the EVGA before this update?

Just download Msi Afterburner (from here MSI Afterburner) and OC your card.... it's the same thing. Check for your temps as you test it and you should be fine. I don't see any 460Gt not able to hit 720/1440 easily.

Not only does that update already increase your clocks, but it also allows you to make the fan speed hit to 100% than 70/80 or whatever the max currently is. All Nvidia GTX 460 cards can only have a max of 70/80% fan speed, EVGA did something cool to make it unlock it fully plus a free OC is nice as well for those who don't know how.

Idle starts at 40% now as well and people are complaining since 25% was just fine in terms of noise.
